Mick Barr er et unikum av en gitarist fra New York spiller i bl.a. Orthrelm og Krallice og går under navnene Ocrilim og Octis. Han er selvlært og har en nesten autistisk evne til å huske komplekse komposisjoner (ingen improvisasjon her) – og samtidig kan han knapt lese musikk.

Janek Schaefer jobber hovedsaklig med platespillere og fremstår idag som en av de fremste eksponentene for den britiske art turntablism-scenen. I tillegg er han en prisvinnende lydkunstner og har gjort seg bemerket med blant annet danseprosjektet Rapture som foregår på Frank Ghery-bygninger rundt omkring i verden.

Til Lydgalleriet tar han med seg sin spesialbygde platespiller og holder konsert på Christian Marclays installasjon på loftet.

An unimaginable combo concert, with two insanely good performers in each of their respective fields. As you probably know, we have a small space with only room for only 40 people, so come early if you want to be secured a seat!

Mick Barr is a unique of a guitarist from New York playing in, among other things, Orthrelm and Krallice, under the names Ocrilim and Octis. He is self-taught and has an almost autistic ability to remember complex compositions (no improvisation here) - while at the same time barely reading music.

Janek Schaefer works mainly with record players and is today one of the foremost exponents of the British art turntablism scene. In addition, he is an award winning sound artist and has been noted with the Rapture dance project, which takes place at Frank Ghery buildings around the world.

For the performance at Lydgalleriet Schaefer takes his specially built record player and holds a concert in Christian Marclay's installation in the attic.
