Blue Egg Lovechild is a narrative sound piece and poem which imagines the creation of the world after lovers Day and Night accidentally break a small robin’s egg.

The piece draws from research into creation myths, focusing on cycles of transformation and the imaginary landscapes in which these stories take place. The environmental elements in the piece play the story's main characters, with aural and vocal elements moving across four speakers to create highly sensory sonic environments which are equally salacious, wrathful and bright. At Lydgalleriet, the piece will be presented as a live performance across two nights by Catalina Barroso-Luque and Feronia Wennborg.

The project was developed with support by Radiophrenia Festival, Nordisk Kulturfond (Globus Oppstart), and residencies at Nordiska Konstförbundet and EMS. It was previously presented at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (Glasgow), Centro de Cultura Digital (Mexico City), and Scenkonstmuséet (Stockholm).
