Lydgalleriet is pleased to invite you to "Mouth of Ashes," an exhibition by Nora Adwan. Adwan’s immersive installations interweave poetry, fiction, and documentary and draw on a rich tapestry of geographical contexts and personal experience.
In "Mouth of Ashes," four sculptures—crafted from wood, motorised mirrors, and aluminium—anchor the space. The moving mirrors scatter video projections in shifting fragments, creating ever-changing landscapes across the gallery. Three videos fill the room with imagery of snow—or static—endlessly flying toward the viewer, while texts flicker between mirrored and readable states as they move.
The soundscape is dominated by the restless buzz of flies against windows and the zapping motors rotating the projections. Within this shifting environment, a fragmented conversation unfolds between family members separated by violence and exile, speaking across distances of time and space.
(CANCELLED) Friday, June 13 | 17:30–19:30
The event is unfortunately cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
