Rom er direkte involvert i dannelsen av relasjoner mellom mennesker, i stand til å ha en usynlig struktur og å fungere uavhengig av menneskelig tilstedeværelse. Rom som er en passasje danner seg som et rom, i stand til å skape en sammenheng av kontemplasjon mellom landskap og kropp. Naturen legemliggjør mange sammenflettede lyder, frie i sin form, som går fra en lyd til en annen, berører og reflekterer omgivelsene gjennom seg selv. Den ser ut til å bevege seg utenfor hverdagen den eksisterer i, og vi ser ut til å skli inn i denne lyden.

IIA KO (Nataliia Korotkova) er en russisk-ukrainsk tverrfaglig kunstner og forsker med base i Oslo. En av de viktigste aspektene ved hennes kunstneriske praksis er en utforskning av miljøet. Korotkova vender seg til stedets etnografi gjennom lokalitetens arkaisme, tekst og generasjoners minne. Fordypning i folklore og bevegelsesantropologi lar henne tenke nytt om kunstneriske performative metoder i sammenheng med det kollektive minnet om et rom.

Korotkova manifesterer forskningsprosjektene sine gjennom eksperimentelle para-arkiver, audiovisuelle fortellinger, lyd og performance, akkompagnert av kunstneriske bøker, grafikk og ulike former for essays. Hun ble uteksaminert fra Kunsthøyskolen i Oslo i 2019, og er en del av det kunstneriske forskningsprosjektet DUNKE-DUNK knyttet til rekonstruksjonen av å være i Nord-Norge, som danner en metode for (om)lesing, tverrfaglig samarbeid og møter med regionen mellom landene i Barentsregionen. Forskningen mottok sponsing fra Det norske Barentssekretariat i 2020. I 2022 mottok Nataliia et japansk statlig stipend for (Un)mute performance: Developing an artistic methodology for ontological instruments based on the history of sound art in Japan.

PARABOL er et samarbeid med Kunsthall 3.14 der Lydgalleriet velger et lydarbeid som medieres gjennom den parabolske høyttaleren i Kunsthall 3.14 sitt inngangsparti. Med et spesielt fokus på kontekst og redigeringer, tilbyr høyttalerens beliggenhet en atmosfære og modus som adresserer de samtidige utstillingene i salene oppe på Kunsthall 3.14. Touching the Reflection er kuratert av Emlile Wright og Julie Lillelien Porter i relasjon til hovedutstillingen Fallow Land av Patrick Huse.

Space is directly involved in the formation of relations between people, capable of possessing an invisible structure, functioning regardless of human presence. Space that is a passage forms as a space, able to create a loop of contemplation and to merge landscape and body. Nature embodies many intertwining sounds, free in their form, passing from one sound to another, touching and reflecting the environment through itself. It seems to move outside the everyday life in which it exists, and we seem to slide inside this sound.

IIA KO (Nataliia Korotkova) is a Russian-Ukraine interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in Oslo. One of the most important aspects of her artistic practice is an exploration of the environment. For her research, Korotkova turns to the ethnography of the place through the archaism of the locality, texts, and the memory of generations. Immersion in folklore and anthropology of movement allows her to find spaces for rethinking artistic performative methods in the context of the collective memory of a space.

IIA KO manifests her research projects through experimental para-archives, audio-visual narrations, sound and performance, accompanied by artistic books, graphics and diverse forms of essays. She graduated from The Oslo National Academy in 2019, and is part of the artistic research project DUNKE-DUNK related to the reconstruction of being in the north of Norway, which forms a method of (re)reading, opening up a space for interdisciplinary cooperation and meetings with the region, history and art communities between the countries of the Barents region. The research received sponsorship from The Norwegian Barents Secretariat in 2020. In 2022, Nataliia received a Japanese government scholarship for: (Un)mute performance: Developing an artistic methodology for ontological instruments based on the history of sound art in Japan (1980-2000).

PARABOL is a collaboration with Kunsthall 3.14, where Lydgalleriet selects a sound work for the parabolic loudspeaker sited in Kunsthall 3.14's entrance hall. PARABOL has a particular focus on sonic commissions and edits, and offers a mode of address corresponding with the exhibitions in the main upstairs spaces. Touching the Reflection by IIA KO is curated by Emilie Wright and Julie Lillelien Porter in relation to the exhibition Fallow Land by Patrick Huse.
