F.M.R.L. Footnotes, Mirages, Refrains and Leftovers of Writing Sound er en boklansering opprettet som en serie arrangementer der forfatter Daniela Cascella spurte kunstnere, forfattere, artister og musikere om å remikse, omskrive, gjenlese og å svare på boken: å bruke boken som råmateriale.

Denne tilnærmingen søker å utfordre det frustrerende konvensjonelle formatet av boklanseringen (hvor to eller tre personer roser en bok som ingen andre i rommet har lest), å jobbe med boken som materiell tilstedeværelse, og for å forbedre polyfoniene som er iboende og former F.M.R.L. Footnotes, Mirages, Refrains and Leftovers of Writing Sound.

Denne ukonvensjonelle boklanseringen er arrangert av Daniela Cascella med Jeremy Welsh, Conrad Kemp+Maia Urstad og Signe Lidén.

Welcome to the launch of Daniela Cascella's publication F.M.R.L. Footnotes, Mirages, Refrains and Leftovers of Writing Sound, where the book will be remixed by artists Jeremy Welsh, Conrad Kemp+Maia Urstad, Signe Lidén, using the text of F.M.R.L. as material.

Listening into writing, reading into writing take shape in F.M.R.L. through a collection of short texts, fragments and deranged essays, with attention to pacing and linguistic derives. An archive of books, notebooks, events and records prompts the texts in these pages, responding to encounters with Michel Leiris’s autobiographical fictions; concerts and events at Café Oto and the Swedenborg House in London; visits to museums such as the Pitt Rivers in Oxford and exhibitions such as Ice Age Art at the British Museum, among the others.
