Eivor Slågedal is a multidisciplinary artist whose work centers around found material. In her sound practice, she uses field recordings mixed with improvised compositions to connect the listener to a realm that centers the more-than-human mythical world.
Growing up in a folk music environment, she draws inspiration from the wide specter of Nordic folk melodies and tales. Central in her practice is the experimentation with crafting instruments from found objects, often resulting in unexpected meetings between materials and sounds.
